HR Corner – Open Enrollment and Benefits

Summit BHC values our employees and recognizes that it is your dedication that makes our success possible. As a result, each year we engage in a detailed review of our employee benefit program that includes: comparing our plans to industry standards, evaluating carrier capabilities, product options, and plan designs.

Our goal is to offer a benefit program that fits the needs of our employees and your families while managing the costs associated with these programs for everyone. As such, we have added back a PPO option to our medical plan. To view the best options that are available for you and your families, make sure you login to PlanSource between Sept. 9-22, 2019 to elect your benefits.

Medical Coverage:

BCBS of TN will now be the carrier for medical insurance for the 2019-2020 plan year. Please make certain your address is updated with HR/Payroll so that you can receive your new insurance card without delay. There will be two plans available to select:

  • High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) – you can enroll in the HSA Plan if you choose this medical plan option.
  • Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)  – this is a new plan design and offering for 2019-2020 so please weigh your options to make the best decision for you and your family.
  • Benefits and a per pay check cost will increase with these plans for the 2019-2020 plan year.

Summit will continue to pay a portion of these costs for the 2019-2020 plan year.

Dental Coverage:

  • Dental Coverage will continue to be offered through MetLife.
  • Benefits and per pay check costs will remain the same for the 2019-2020 plan year

Vision Coverage:

  • Vision Coverage will continue to be offered through VSP.
  • Benefits will not change; however there is a slight increase to per paycheck deductions for this line of coverage.

Basic Life & Basic AD&D:

  • Benefits will not change. Summit will continue to offer these benefits as company paid to all FT employees.

  • Group Accident
  • Group Critical Illness
  • MetLaw Legal
  • EAP
